Aspective keeps the nation's beer on tap

Aspective serves up hosted mobile workforce management system for Innserve

Aspective, the leading provider of mobile workforce management solutions in the UK, is helping Innserve maintain the quality and availability of the nation’s beer through a hosted mobile workforce management system. The system is enabling Innserve to manage the installation and servicing of 750,000 beer lines and dispense assets through its field force of over 300 mobile technicians and 470 equivalent service provider technicians. These assets are used to serve S&N UK and Carlsberg UK draught beer, lager and cider at over 100,000 pubs and clubs nationwide.

Based on ViryaNet Service Hub, Aspective’s solution for Innserve handles up to 3,000 maintenance calls per day depending on the factors such as the day and the weather. It includes functionality for call taking, call charging, mobile workforce management and supply chain management, which ensures that 400,000 maintenance calls and 70,000 installations per year are allocated to the most appropriate technician, based on their availability, location, expertise and the equipment needed to complete the job.

Each technician is equipped with a PDA device from which they are able to perform a wide range of tasks such as viewing schedules, reporting job status, ordering parts, updating customer records, and accessing detailed site information such as location and activity history.

Keith New, VP, Field Service said: “The workforce management system at Innserve will manage the complete working day of engineers who perform critical on-site maintenance, including the repair, refurbishing and removal of dispense assets, line coolers, pressure systems and cellar cooling equipment. As a result, Innserve will be able to manage the valuable time that their engineers spend in the field, focussing on the amount of time taken to undertake maintenance and repairs; in short they will be helping to ensure that the nation’s beer is always on tap.”

Innserve is a £50m services company that manages the servicing and installation of dispensing assets at 100,000 pubs, bars, hotels, restaurants and stadiums. Innserve was created in 2004, through the combination of the in-house technical services departments of Carlsberg UK and Scottish & Newcastle UK after both companies decided to outsource these services.
